"If a person can speak, they should be able to use AI. Literacy should never be a barrier."
NepalXAI is Nepal's first fully homegrown artificial intelligence platform — a voice-only assistant designed specifically for non-literate citizens who have been excluded from the digital revolution. Unlike imported AI systems that fail to understand Nepali rural accents, NepalXAI is trained on thousands of hours of authentic voice recordings from across the Terai and Hill regions.
The platform delivers market prices, flood warnings, government scheme eligibility, and vaccination schedules through basic voice interactions on low-cost Android devices. With ultra-lightweight offline models, it overcomes the electricity and data challenges that plague rural Nepal.
Officially supported by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology for disaster-warning integration, NepalXAI aims for a public launch in late 2026.

Rural Coder Visionary
“World-class innovation can begin in a village without paved roads.”
NepalXAI exists to ensure that every Nepali — regardless of literacy level, income, or location — can access the power of artificial intelligence using only their voice. We believe that language and speech, not text, should be the gateway to technology. By building offline-first, dialect-aware AI, we aim to bring digital dignity to farmers, vendors, elders, and rural women before Nepal exits the Least Developed Country (LDC) status by 2030.
